History
Strategically located in the center of Mercosul, IBS TRADING - Inter Brasil Sul Comercial Importadora e Exportadora LTDA was founded in 1996 by two graduates from Universidade do Vale do Itajaí (University of the Itajaí Valley –
SC, Brazil), in order to provide consulting services in foreign trade. The company’s premise has always been to offer tax benefits, to optimize time, to reduce costs, and to provide maximum security in international trade operations.
The founders first came together in 1994, when they designed, founded and structured Trade Junior, the first junior foreign trade company in Latin America. In addition to offering internships to Foreign Trade students, they
provided the university with agility, tax benefits and cost reduction.
Between 1994 and 1995, the creators of IBS TRADING were responsible for all imports made by the university and a number of export projects for several external customers. This pioneering attitude rendered them the Foreign Trade
Course's Merit Award as best students, as well as first places before the internship examination board.
In 1996, a partner came up with the challenge of providing services directly to the Navegantes Municipal Government (state of Santa Catarina - Brazil). Mission assigned, they got together with another professional to make the
construction of the Navegantes port feasible in every way: from the expropriation of the space designated to the port and all its negotiations, to the initial public hearings, including prospecting people interested in investing in infrastructure so that the port could
fully operate.
Today, IBS TRADING - Inter Brasil Sul Comercial Importadora e Exportadora LTDA offers ICMS tax benefits that can further improve competitiveness and significantly reduce costs for customers.
